I am amazed that Verizon is still so stingy. They seem to make it very difficult to find a decent pre paid budget phone. It seems like there are always plenty of good deals on quality budget phones when it comes to GSM, but when it comes to CDMA it's very difficult to find deals like the GSM phones out there. I even tried to use Amazon's filters to find a good deal but Verizon isn't even listed as an option with all the other carriers.
You would think they would lighted up a little considering AT&T is very close to them in coverage. Verizon must be bleeding customers to AT&T because you can spend a lot less to get a good phone with any other carrier when compared to Verizon. If Verizon wasn't the only one I can get a clear signal with here at home I wouldn't give them the time of day. I was going to step up and pay a lot more than I wanted and get the new Moto G5 but that was before I realized it would cost $300 ($240 if you're a Amazon Prime member which I have no need for). You can get it for $230 ($185 if you're a Amazon Prime member) but it seems like 2GB of RAM wouldn't last but a year or so until it started slowing down and causing problems. You can get a decent GSM phone for much less than either of those list prices. I guess I will have to keep using cheap junky Straight Talk phones (on Verizon's network) that don't have a GPS that will work without a tower connection.
So what is up with Verizon? Why is a true budget phone that's any good so hard to find?
